Digital Piazza
Created for the Croatian IT company Lapis, this office is conceived as an open landscape of movement, exchange, and spontaneous connection. Rather than organizing the workplace through conventional corridors and enclosed rooms, the concept imagines the interior as a contemporary piazza, a flowing central space animated by smaller functional volumes, much like buildings gathered around a town square or structures arranged within a fairground.
These freestanding microspaces contain meeting rooms, quiet zones, focus areas, and informal lounges, each with its own identity while remaining visually connected to the whole. Moving through the office becomes an experience of discovery, where every turn reveals a new setting, perspective, or place to collaborate.
The material language balances technological precision with warmth and tactility. Dark ceilings with linear lighting create rhythm and depth above, while pale wood volumes introduce calm structure and human scale. Greenery is integrated throughout the space, softening the geometry and reinforcing a sense of wellbeing.
Open workstations are arranged between the central volumes, allowing teams to remain connected while benefiting from varied atmospheres and degrees of privacy. Lounge settings and embedded seating niches encourage informal conversations, short breaks, and moments of retreat.
The workplace feels urban, dynamic, and alive: an office designed not only for productivity, but for movement, interaction, and community.
